Cost of colllecting compensation
What is the cost of collecting compensation?
Don’t worry about the cost.
In almost every case, no fees or costs are incurred as the lawyer’s fees are settled when the compensation is paid out. The largest part of the lawyer’s fee is usually paid by the insurance company. Generally the fee is calculated as a percentage of the compensation paid.
Your lawyer will pay the cost incurred in obtaining doctor’s certificates and other data and settle the bill with the insurance company when compensation is paid out.
If it is necessary to claim compensation through litigation you might be entitled to legal aid, i.e. the government guarantees that you will not have to pay the lawyer’s fee. As a rule, we will check whether legal aid is a possible option and will assist you in filing a request if there is a chance that you are eligible to receive aid.
